Burrito Project in Forbes
Thursday, May 10, 2007 @ 21:14 Janne Toivoniemi

Lately I’ve been reading american business magazines. I have noticed that those magazines write amazingly many pages about phenomena which doesn’t have direct link to the business world. For example, the 90th anniversary issue of the Forbes magazine includes 28 short essays about the networks. Chris Dewolfe (cofounder and chief executive of MySpace) writes about the Burrito Project. He shows how MySpace isn’t just a friend network and about bands’ promotion. Read the whole article here.

And what about the guy who bought MySpace - Rupert Murdoch? He praises the long tail phenomenon. While traditional entertainment companies are feeling threatened Murdoch wants the changes. We truly are living the strange times. And like Dr. Gonzo already said it: “When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.”
