Last ten years the music business has been run by idiots. I think everyone else knows this truth except those jerks with their fat bank accounts and cuban cigars. Even New York Times knows where the music business is right now. And if it’s on the NY Times, it’s mainstream!
Phenomenas like Jonathan Coulton are what popular music should have been in the first place - music from one to another. We don’t need industry in between. Maybe someday I have enough time and courage finally make that ultimate album of mine.
Today it actually hit me. Rock stardom is so 20th century. Think Elvis - he was a product made by fat and ugly tycoon. And yes. Colonel Parker loved cuban cigars.
