Burrito Project in Forbes
Thursday, May 10, 2007 @ 21:14

Lately I’ve been reading american business magazines. I have noticed that those magazines write amazingly many pages about phenomena which doesn’t have direct link to the business world. For example, the 90th anniversary issue of the Forbes magazine includes 28 short essays about the networks. Chris Dewolfe (cofounder and chief executive of MySpace) writes about the Burrito Project. He shows how MySpace isn’t just a friend network and about bands’ promotion. Read the whole article here.

And what about the guy who bought MySpace - Rupert Murdoch? He praises the long tail phenomenon. While traditional entertainment companies are feeling threatened Murdoch wants the changes. We truly are living the strange times. And like Dr. Gonzo already said it: “When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.”

Ray-Ban … how to be cool
Thursday, May 10, 2007 @ 12:04

Ray-Ban has made one of the coolest viral videos ever. I just love it. Great attitude …

Some people have difficulties to understand how they did the video.

Marvel vs. DC
Tuesday, May 8, 2007 @ 21:43

OK. The new Superman movie sucked big time. Warner Bros. should have let Tim Burton direct the movie and give the leading role to Nicholas Cage. Or at least they should have called Kevin Smith back in the saddle (to finish the script). But no. They screwed up everything.

The failure of the Superman movie is embarrassing to the publisher DC. Their characters haven’t succeeded lately on the silver screen. And of course there is a funny series of Mac vs. PC spoof clips to point out that embarrassing fact.

Tuesday, May 8, 2007 @ 11:43

This is a conclusive proof that sales people will do the dumbest things just to sell you anything … I wouldn’t have appeared on this commercial. Would you?

Scrobble my iPod
Monday, May 7, 2007 @ 20:42

ScrobblePod is a promising software. Finally I can list songs I have listened on my iPod to my Last.fm page. The software is still in its alpha version. Let’s hope they release beta version soon.

Perfect Ubique
Sunday, May 6, 2007 @ 23:48

Web agency Zeus Jones has got it right. Their site is the perfect example of ubique. Nothing but different Zeus Jones links. LinkedIn as a “contact page”, Google search as an “about site” and my favorite T.E.T.A.A. blog (Toons for the Ethical Treatment of Ambient Animals).

Magnetosphere
Saturday, May 5, 2007 @ 21:20

If you use iTunes and are like me tired of in-built visualizer, then download Barbarian Software’s Magnetosphere. It passed the ultimate test. The Beatles’ “Tomorrow Never Knows” has never looked as good as it looks now. Who need drugs anymore!

A Greener Apple
Thursday, May 3, 2007 @ 0:16

Greenpeace’s campaign has been extremely embarrassing for the Apple. Now Steve Jobs has released a statement about Apple’s green values. I don’t know the facts. But if Apple’s lousy PR is the reason for the company’s reputation I would hire better employees to the information department.

Kermit Mac

If the Greenpeace is right I would like to buy a greener Apple next time … please.
