I’m not an environmentalist but I think that biosphere is worth saving for. And this is totally my egoistic and selfish point of view. So, this really pissed me off today. According to this survey the war in Iraq will cost more that 2 trillion dollars (that’s $2,000,000,000,000). This calculation doesn’t include veterans’ benefits and costs like that.
And why George W. Bush and his bosses are in war? Because of oil. Everybody knows that. With 2 trillion dollars United States could have built solar thermal plants that would have provided more that 2/3rds amount of energy needed in U.S.A. Do your math … America could have reached independency from oil by the very same amount of money they put (and will put more) in war to get their oil. Read more from Solar Power Rocks!.

Propaganda. With solar power such things are not reachable for big nation.
Bush & co. should start to use real mass destruction weapons (ie. hiroshima) in Iraq in a way that enviromental resoursec would stay untouched. Or maybe battle with those animals with their own style? Drown them in acid.

Niin no, jos joku tilaisi aurinkovoimaa 2 Teradollarilla, niin sillä voisi olla melko radikaali vaikutus esim. aurinkopaneelien tarjontaan. Niiden tekeminen olisi melkomoinen ympäristörasite - toisaalta taas, noin suuret markkinat olisivät hyvä insentiivi teknologiakehitykselle.
Toisekseen, vaikka nuo luvut olisivat väärin kymmenkertaisesti, ne olisivat silti tyystin naurettavia. Tuskin voidaan väittää, ettei samalla rahalla tuupattuna uusien energiamuotojen tutkimukseen olisi *mitään* vaikutusta.

Dude, war is ON/OFF situation: you have to hate your enemy till your guts come out.
On the other hand, the situation is fucked up, what’s the goal in iraq?
Finland vs. cccp -> it’s a clear game, plan is simple, kill everyone that comes to your territory and protect your kids and chick from rape and torture. Either they should bomb heavily in to pieces the whole fucking iraq and have these nazi style camps for the survivors or they just should stop the bullshit and say, hey, we lost.
