Taas on se aika vuodesta, että Helsingin Blogipiirin pikkujoulut kolistelee ovella. Blogipiirin uusi keskiö (eiks olekin hyvä titteli?), Mari, ehti jo tiedottaa asiasta, mutta tiedotetaan asiasta täälläkin.

Blogipiirin legendaariset ja aina yhtä syntisen huurteiset pikkujoulut järjestetään lauantaina 15. päivä joulukuuta. On vaikea löytää ajankohtaa, joka sopisi ihan kaikille. Ja nyt se ajankohta on edellä mainittu. Paikkana toimii Ravintola Weeruska (Porvoonkatu 19) kello 18:30 lähtien. Loppumisajankohta riippuu sitten osallistujan kenttäkunnosta.

Seuraavaksi jäämme jännittämään pääsekö Fonzie paikalle pelastamaan Richien pulasta … taas kerran.

And to answer to Roger Boyes I say - Yes. We really need to talk about things in our society. But we do not need some British journalist with extremely limited knowledge of our country to lead that conversation. I think we can handle this issue by ourselves very well.

Jokela tragedy is something journalist can’t handle. Today I have heard or read that we should ban internet, video games, television and almost everything except Bible and newspapers. But nothing can beat the The Times column “Similarities to other massacres - but this was a very Finnish affair”.

And what about Helsingin Sanomat? In the front page there was huge H&M add saying: “Juhlat alkavat tänään klo 9″ (Party begins today at 9 AM). Maybe the editor of add section should have called the client saying that the add will be postponed …

So, Finland has its own Columbine - 7 Die in School Shooting in Finland. And the countdown for the search of reasons to this tragedy begins right now …

After the Columbine media and right wing conservatives pointed their fingers to the video games and Marilyn Manson (later the truth came out and all of the Columbine shooters hated Marilyn Manson ).

When Michael Moore interviewed Marilyn Manson and asked what he would have said to the killers, Manson replied: “Nothing. I would have listened, because no one else did.” In my opinion, it was the smartest comment I heard about the incident.

Silence = Death. Unfortunately some people just don’t get it. And there are always some people in our society that don’t want to talk about reasons. They don’t want to hear the truth and they always blame something or someone else.

If they got Deep Purple song in ad, then the game has to be good.
